Common questions regarding specialist oral medicine teleconsultations and appointment procedures.
While a referral from your GP or general dentist is helpful and provides background medical information, it is not strictly required to book an initial teleconsultation with Dr Suhaib Alqudah. You can contact us directly to arrange your appointment.
Yes. In Oral Medicine, diagnostic assessment relies heavily on a detailed clinical history, clear photographs of the condition, and previous test reports. During your video consultation, Dr Alqudah can establish a working diagnosis or management plan in many cases. If a physical examination or biopsy is required, we will help coordinate this with appropriate local healthcare providers.
As Oral Medicine is a recognized dental specialty in Australia, consultations are not eligible for Medicare rebates. Patients with private health insurance may be entitled to a partial rebate depending on their level of dental cover and insurer policy. We recommend checking with your private health fund prior to your appointment.
Full payment is required prior to your scheduled consultation. Payment can be made easily via bank transfer using the account details sent to you when your appointment time is confirmed.
